Love & Friendship

For a movie that has a near perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, I wasn’t too enticed.  A lifelong lover of Jane Austen, especially Pride and Prejudice, the early reviews of this movie looked very promising.

And therein lies the problem.  I listened to movie reviews.

So I bought the movie, thinking it would be great, instead of renting it.

Let me tell you, I lost all interest within the first fifteen minutes.

Though Kate Beckinsale was fabulous as the lead, the plot fell flat…which is probably why the book it was based off of was never finished.  Literally.  Jane Austen never finished it.  And it’s very obvious why.

Save yourself some money, and don’t buy Love & Friendship.
