I read The Girl on the Train before I saw the movie, and the book had me intrigued from the start. When I heard the book was being adapted into a movie, I was a bit worried about how the director was going to take the multiple viewpoints and make it work without being confusing, especially to those who did not read the book.
Emily Blunt’s acting (she played the main character Rachel) was fantastic and really brought the character to life. My favorite scene was the ending of the movie and that part definitely had me cringing!
All in all, I would rate the movie about a 7/10. In my opinion, the movie was not nearly as suspenseful as both the book was and how the trailer showed. I thought certain scenes were going to make me jump and make me nervous/scared. However, maybe the reason for this was because I read the book so I had high expectations.
I definitely recommend the book and also the movie, but just expected a little more intensity out of it.
